Do you want to learn how to build understanding across differences and contribute to more peaceful communities?
The Peace Leader certificate, awarded by Hekima University College, is a six-month program designed for learners who want to develop leadership skills and promote peace in their communities.
In this program, you will explore peace practices, self-awareness, reconciliation, cultural understanding, and servant leadership. Through reflection, dialogue, and community-based projects, you will learn how to address conflicts constructively, encourage mutual understanding, and support positive change in diverse environments.
You will complete three courses: Self Awareness and Cultural Awareness, Conflict Resolution Mechanisms and Reconciliation, and Transformative Servant Leadership. Through practical activities and guided learning, you will develop the confidence and skills needed to lead with empathy, communicate effectively, and apply peacebuilding approaches in real-life situations.
This program is a good choice for you if you are passionate about community development, social cohesion, and positive leadership. To apply, you need a high school certificate, English proficiency at B1 CEFR level, and be at least 18 years old. Because this is a blended program, you also need regular access to a device such as a notebook/laptop, tablet, or smartphone; no previous experience in peacebuilding is required. By the end of the program, you will be prepared to promote dialogue and contribute to building more peaceful communities.
